Below are four graphs, which depict the growth of the e-gold system over the past four years, and project estimates over the upcoming year.
The first graph depicts the number of e-gold accounts on the first day of each month since the beginning of 1996. As of 1 July 2000, there were about 47,000 e-gold accounts.
The next graph depicts the same data, overlayed with a trendline based on an exponential equation that yields an R2 of 0.9672.
The next graph extends this trendline, based on four years of monthly data, and projects the number of e-gold accounts New Year's Day 2001 to be approx. 135,000.
The final graph extends this trendline and projects the number of e-gold accounts 1 July 2001 to be approx. 390,000.
